So what if I told you the most electric Pokémon in Kanto is also the most sensitive one, and those are the same fact?

This is Jolteon. It starts as an Eevee. Small, soft, could have become anything. And then one day a trainer holds up a yellow stone, and in a flash of light the softness is gone. What's standing there now is fast. Sharp. Every hair on its body is a needle. It looks like the last thing in the world you'd call fragile.

But live with one for a week and you'll notice something. It never goes quiet. There's a crackle coming off its fur all the time, like a wire that's always live. When it breathes out, you can hear it. And when it gets scared, when something startles it, when it's hurt, the fur stands straight up and everyone in the room knows exactly what it's feeling before it does.

And that's where the power comes from. It doesn't charge up by resting. It charges every single time its mood changes. Every time it gets sad, every time it gets angry, every time something gets under its skin. The feeling goes in, and ten thousand volts come out. Its heart is the battery.

So people keep their distance. They say it's high-strung, that it's hard to get close to. You would too, with something that's always crackling and could go off if you say the wrong thing. It spends its whole life being the one that feels too much, in a body that can't hide any of it.

And then it walks into a fight and hits harder than anything in the room. Because it's been charging the whole time. Because every bad day was going somewhere.

Jolteon is the friend who takes everything to heart and somehow still shows up stronger than the ones who don't.
