## Transcript

What if I told you there's a Pokémon that's the ghost of a dog who never had a person, and it came back to find one.

This is Greavard.

It lives way up in the cold mountains of Paldea, and its Pokédex entry tells you where it came from. It's said that a dog Pokémon spent its entire life out in the wild without ever once meeting a human.

When that life was over, it came back as a shaggy gray ghost dog with a little candle on top of its head.

So get this!

Most of the time, Greavard barely moves. It rests under the ground with just the top of its head poking out, lights that little candle, and waits for somebody to come near.

When somebody finally does, it bursts out of the ground with a cry so spooky that most people nearly jump out of their skin.

It doesn't mean any harm by it. It's just that excited somebody showed up.

And if you don't run, if you give it even the slightest bit of attention, it gets so happy that it'll follow you forever. It even has an ability called Pickup, so after a battle it'll sometimes come trotting back with something it found. The only warning trainers get is that it drains a little of your life force when you play with it.

So they're told not to play with it too much, which has never once worked on a dog.

If you've ever walked past the kennels at a shelter, you've met Greavard. It's the one throwing itself at the front of the cage the second you look, because it's waited too long to play it cool.

It never had a person the first time, so this time it keeps a light on.

Who's YOUR Greavard?

Put the name of the dog that picked you in the comments, and how long it took before it decided you were its person.
