## Transcript

What if I told you, this Pokémon has ONE job…. scaring you, and if you don't get scared, it has no idea what to do with itself?

This is Misdreavus, a little ghost with wavy hair and red orbs around its neck. It sleeps in the dark all day, and when night falls, it goes to work.

Its tricks are old-school haunted house stuff. It makes sobbing sounds from empty rooms, and it sneaks up behind people to yank their hair, just to see the look on their face.

And it takes this very seriously. Its Pokédex says it practices constantly to get better at scaring people. Another entry says surprising people is what gives its life meaning.

But one entry says Misdreavus doesn't deal well with people who aren't easily scared.

So picture all that practice, all night long, building up to the big moment. It jumps out, gives it everything it has, and you just don't flinch. For a Misdreavus, that's basically the meanest thing you can do.

Every little kid in a ghost costume this week is a Misdreavus. They hide behind a door and jump out yelling boo as loud as they can. And somebody who loves them screams like it's the scariest thing they've ever seen.

Maybe you had somebody who screamed every time you jumped out, even though they saw you hiding the whole time. Maybe now you're the one doing the screaming.

Misdreavus practices all night for one good scream, and the people who love you always gave you theirs.
