How to unlock the legendary and mythical Pokémon from the main game. Three are story-locked (you can't miss them), six need crafted summoning items, and Mew is the reward for the endgame Slate hunt. The free 2.0.0 update also added the Mythical Pokémon Manaphy, who teaches Ditto the move Dive.

HowA story scene on the rebuilt Silph Co. roof in Sparkling Skylands registers it; befriend it on a Dream Island linked to the Dragonite Doll (the doll biases the island, not guaranteed).

PrerequisitesReach Sparkling Skylands and unlock Dream Islands via Drifloon.

The Sparkling Skylands meeting only logs it in the dex; the actual befriend happens on its Dream Island.

HowCollect all 27 Mysterious Slates and arrange them into the mural near the Wasteland Pokémon Center.

PrerequisitesPost-game. Slates appear as shiny ground patches across every region.

Raikou

Required itemTidal Bell (5 Silver Feathers + 5 Rare Pokémetal)

Silver Feathers drop from Lugia as it passes overhead; gather them to craft the bell.

Ho-Oh

AreaFlies overhead (ring the bell where it passes)

HowCraft and ring the Clear Bell while Ho-Oh is flying above your area.

PrerequisitesBefriend Raikou, Entei, AND Suicune.

Required itemClear Bell (5 Rainbow Feathers + 5 Rare Pokémetal)

Rainbow Feathers drop as Ho-Oh passes overhead; gather them to craft the bell.

Kyogre

AreaWithered Wasteland

HowStory encounter at the end of "Yawn up a storm!"

PrerequisitesComplete "Yawn up a storm!" (raise humidity to 100%)

You can't miss it. It drives the rainstorm that revives the wasteland; afterward it re-appears at random from the ocean.

Volcanion

AreaRocky Ridges

HowStory encounter first. To befriend it, throw a second party (get the Mood back to 100), then load a Cannon with Fireworks and it appears.

PrerequisitesFinish the Rocky Ridges party chain; get the Cannon and Fireworks recipes from Chef Dente.

Required itemCannon + Fireworks (recipes from Chef Dente)

Mythical tied to the volcanic region's plot.
