Cookie Policy
In short
We use Google Analytics to learn which pages you enjoy, so we can make more of what you want. It sets cookies to count visits. There are no ads on this site, and we never sell your data. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland it waits until you press Accept, and anyone can switch it off below. We set no advertising cookies. Everything else the site remembers for you lives in your browser's localStorage and never reaches our servers. Our host may set a strictly technical bot-protection cookie, and video players set their own cookies only after you press play.

To move these to another browser, Take your progress with you turns the ones you pick into a code, QR code or file that you carry over yourself; it is made and read on your devices and never sent to us.
Pages saved for offline use
When you open a reference page, such as a Pokédex entry, the type chart or a GO calculator, your browser keeps a copy in its cache storage under dp-offline-v1, with the files that page needs. It holds the 80 pages you opened most recently. A copy is only shown when you have no connection, and nothing about it is sent to us. See or remove them on Offline pages, or clear this site's data.
Cookies from services we use
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_3XZMNF0L02) | Tells one visit from the next, so we can see which pages people read and make more of them. Lasts up to 2 years in your browser; Google keeps the visit data for 2 months. Only set after you accept in the EU, the UK and Switzerland, and never if you switch analytics off. |
| Cloudflare bot protection | At most a strictly technical cookie that tells people from bots. It is not used to track you and counts as strictly necessary under GDPR. |
| Video players | Set only if a video plays from TikTok or YouTube after you press play, under that service's own policy. |
Cloudflare Web Analytics is not on this list because it uses no cookies at all.
How to clear or block these
- Clear all site data: In Chrome or Edge, open the site's settings from the padlock in the address bar and choose to delete its data. In Safari, go to Settings, then Safari, then Clear History and Website Data.
- Block cookies entirely: All major browsers let you block cookies in settings. The site will still function; you will just lose your theme, game results and Passport progress.
- Browser extensions: Tools like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger can additionally block third-party requests.
- Google Analytics everywhere: Google's opt-out add-on blocks it on every site, ours included.
Your analytics choice
In the EU, the UK and Switzerland we ask before Google Analytics sets any cookies, and nothing is counted until you press Accept. Everywhere else it is on by default. Wherever you are, you can change it here at any time. Your choice is saved on this device only.
Google Analytics is on for this device.
