About this quiz.
How does the Pokémon game quiz work?
Five multiple-choice questions ask about your platform, time per session, solo-vs-multiplayer preference, experience level, and aesthetic preference. Each answer adds weighted scores to candidate games. The highest-scoring game is your primary recommendation; the next two scorers appear as runners-up. The result loads from the URL hash, so sharing the link lets a friend see your exact recommendation.
Which Pokémon games does the quiz cover?
Every current Pokémon title; Scarlet & Violet, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Pokémon Champions, Pokémon GO, Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon UNITE, TCG Pocket, TCG Live, Masters EX, Pokémon HOME; plus upcoming titles Pokémon Winds & Waves (2027) and Pokémon Pokopia (2026). Older Switch titles (Sword/Shield, BDSP, Legends Arceus, Let's Go) are surfaced as backlog suggestions when relevant.
I don't play on Switch; will the quiz still recommend something?
Yes. Mobile-only users get routed to Pokémon GO, Sleep, TCG Pocket, Masters EX, UNITE Mobile, or TCG Live in browser depending on their other answers. PC users get TCG Live (browser) plus any mobile recommendation. Switch 2 owners unlock Z-A, Champions, and Pokopia as candidates.
Can I retake the quiz with different answers?
Yes. Tap "Start over" on the results screen or refresh the page. Your previous answers are not saved unless you bookmark the result URL.
My result was weird; why did the quiz recommend that game?
The scoring weights heavily favor platform availability and time-per-session preference. If you said "mobile-only, 5-minute bursts, casual," the quiz will not recommend Scarlet & Violet even if you love deep RPGs; because you do not own a Switch. If the recommendation feels off, retake and adjust your platform or session-length answer.
