Ditto's skills.
Ditto learns each ability from a Pokémon friend. They are not for battle. You use them to reshape the world. Four of them can be powered up by one of Chef Dente's cooked recipes.
Skills with food upgrades
Chef Dente, a Greedent cook, makes recipes that power up Ditto's moves. Cook and eat the matching dish family to strengthen these four.
Leafage
Create grass and greenery on the ground.
Water Gun
Hydrate dry plants, soil and trees (waters in a + shape).
Cut
Cut down grass and chop trees.
Rock Smash
Break rocks and boulders ahead.
Skills without food upgrades
No upgrade ladder, what they do at base is what they do.
Rototiller
Till soil into plots so you can plant seeds.
Jump
Jump up ledges and across small gaps. You may also see it called Splash.
Strength
Push and move heavy objects.
Rollout
Roll forward fast to break obstacles; uses Rock Smash's meter rather than its own.
Surf
Swim across deep water.
Waterfall
Travel up and down waterfalls.
Camouflage
Turn into the object or decoration directly in front of you.
Stockpile Water
Move water around to create ponds and waterfalls.
Glide
Glide through the air for fast travel (press R while airborne).
Magnet Rise
Free-fly and build anywhere, adjusting height with L and R, to place and pick up blocks.
Dive
Swim underwater, and build there too. You need Jump and Surf first.
Food powers up your moves
Cooking is tied to your abilities. Chef Dente's recipes power up Ditto's moves: cook and eat a dish from the matching family (Salad for Leafage, Soup for Water Gun, Bread for Cut, Hamburger Steak for Rock Smash) to strengthen that ability. In the base game, the other abilities have no food upgrade. The Expansion Pass adds smoothies, which power up Surf.
