Accessibility statement

Our goal

Daily Pokemon aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard we design and test against. We are an independent fan project, so we cannot claim formal certification, but accessibility is something we actively work on and improve.

What we build in

• Keyboard navigation: menus, search, and interactive controls are reachable and operable with the keyboard, with visible focus styles.
• Choice of themes: a light theme, a softer light theme, and a dark theme. The site also follows your device's light or dark setting by default, and the toggle lives in the top right.
• Reduced motion: animations respect your operating system's "reduce motion" setting.
• Text alternatives: images, Pokémon artwork, and icons carry alt text or are marked decorative so screen readers are not cluttered.
• Semantic structure: real headings, landmarks, and lists so assistive technology can navigate the page.
• Readable by default: high-contrast text, scalable type, and layouts that reflow when you zoom or use a small screen.

Known limitations

We are honest about where we fall short. A few areas we are still improving:

• Some embedded third-party content (video players, partner shop widgets) is governed by the provider and may not fully match our own standards.
• A few data-dense tables and interactive tools are easiest to use with a pointer; we are working to make them fully keyboard and screen-reader friendly.
• Live data that updates throughout the day may not always announce changes to assistive technology.
