EX Fair Scout

Iris (Alt.) & Hydreigon · Sygna Suit Brendan & Latios
Spinoff · trainer-pair gacha · iOS / Android · 2019 launch
The deepest archive of canon Trainers in the franchise, repackaged as a real-time 3v3 battle game. Every gym leader, Elite Four member, Champion, and rival from every region has been turned into a Sync Pair — a Trainer fused with one specific Pokémon — and the gacha drops them in seasonal banners. Approximately 617 Sync Pairs as of mid-2026.
How it actually plays
Sync Pairs. 3v3 in real time. Climb the PML.
A Sync Pair is one Trainer paired permanently with one Pokémon. You build a team of three. Battles are real-time with a charge-based move gauge — moves cost charges and the gauge auto-fills, so positioning is a question of when you fire, not if. There's no swap-and-switch mid-battle; team composition matters more than reaction speed.
The setting is Pasio, an artificial island built to host the Pokémon Masters League tournament. The main story walks through it region by region (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, etc.) and gives you a story-locked Sync Pair from each. Everything else — Master Fair Sync Pairs, Sygna Suit variants, anniversary commemoratives — drops via gacha banners.

FAQ
Quick answers.
What is a Sync Pair?
One Trainer permanently fused with one specific Pokémon. Cynthia & Garchomp is one Sync Pair; Cynthia (Anniversary) & Kommo-o is a separate Sync Pair with the same Trainer character. Most named Trainers have multiple Sync Pair variants across regional, Sygna Suit, costume, and anniversary appearances.
How does the gacha work?
Single scout: 300 Gems. 11-scout: 3,000 Gems (effectively one free pull). Featured banners boost the pull rate for one or two specific Sync Pairs during a window. Master Fair and EX Fair scouts feature 5-star Sync Pairs at a higher rate than regular scouts.
How many Sync Pairs are in the game?
Approximately 617 unique Sync Pairs as of Q1 2026. New pairs drop roughly every two weeks across regional, anniversary, costume, and variant categories. Recent additions in 2026 include Juliana & Terapagos and Florian & Ogerpon (both Pokémon Day / 30th-anniversary commemoratives).
What's the deal with the 6-year anniversary?
August 2025 marked Masters EX's 6th anniversary. The celebration added EX Master Sync Pairs for Red & Charizard, Irida & Typhlosion, and Gloria & Cinderace — each capable of Sync Terastallizing into an off-type (Dragon, Poison, and Rock respectively). The EX Fair scout type and 6★ EX raises debuted alongside.
Is it free?
Yes. Free download on iOS and Android. Monetization is via Gem bundles ($0.99 to $79.99) for scouts, plus paid-Gem-only banners for specific limited Sync Pairs. No monthly subscription.
Does it connect to other Pokémon games?
No direct save-file integration. Pokémon HOME does not connect. Your Sync Pair collection is internal to Masters EX and doesn't carry over to other Pokémon titles.
