Common questions.

What is the current Pokémon GO season?

Memories in Motion, running 2026-03-03 through 2026-06-02. Theme: Nostalgia / Mythical Volcanion. Free Special Research "Pressure Rising" → Volcanion encounter. Weekend events standardized to Saturdays. Tickets replaced by GO Passes (free + Deluxe paid).

How long is a Pokémon GO season?

Roughly 3 months (a 13-week cycle). Each season has a name, a theme, season-long bonuses, signature debuts, and a Special Research storyline.

What is the Daily Discoveries structure?

Memories in Motion (Season 26) replaced the legacy weekly Spotlight Hour cadence with a daily themed bonus structure: Double-Time Sunday (extended Lures), Fast-Track Monday (2x Pass Points), Showcase Tuesday (PokéStop Showcases all day), and GO Battle Thursday (up to 4x Stardust in GBL). Spotlight Hour now runs only during specific themed event blocks.

What replaced single-event tickets?

GO Passes. Starting with Memories in Motion (March 2026), Niantic / Scopely replaced one-off paid event tickets with a season-long GO Pass system: a free progression track plus a paid GO Pass Deluxe track with extra rewards, coins, and encounter bonuses.
