Mallow is the cast's cook and the SM equivalent of a Brock function (without the running romantic gag). Her family runs a Heahea City restaurant called Aina's Kitchen; she splits her time between Pokémon School, kitchen work, and battle training. Picks Bounsweet, which evolves through Steenee to Tsareena across the series. Tsareena develops into one of the harder-hitting fully evolved grass-types in the franchise, often outclassing what the games suggested.
