Regional variants.
When a Pokémon grows up somewhere new, the place gets into it. These 58 regional forms share a National Dex number with their original species but carry their own typing, stats, abilities, and battle identity. Each one has a dedicated page.
Alolan Forms
Sun and Moon introduced 18 Alolan forms. Island life flipped Kanto staples into new types: Vulpix turned to Ice, Exeggutor stretched into a Dragon, and Marowak picked up Fire and Ghost.
Galarian Forms
Sword and Shield reimagined 20 species through Galar. Ponyta gained Psychic horns, Weezing grew chimney stacks, and the Galarian birds traded their elemental identities entirely.
Hisuian Forms
Legends: Arceus reached back to ancient Hisui for 16 variants. Growlithe and Arcanine turned Rock, Zorua and Zoroark went Normal and Ghost, and Samurott darkened into a ronin.
Paldean Forms
Scarlet and Violet brought the three Paldean Tauros breeds and Paldean Wooper, the Poison/Ground mudfish that eventually evolves into Clodsire.
