0:00What if I told you the Pokémon you've groaned at more than any other in the entire franchise never once did anything to deserve it?
0:02You know the one.
0:05You're walking through a cave, you're trying to get somewhere, and the screen flashes.
0:07Zubat...
0:09Again.
0:12The same blue bat you've fought a thousand times and never, not once, actually wanted to see.
0:14You sigh.
0:17You mash the button.
0:19You move on.
0:21Zubat is the interruption...
0:24The pest.
0:26The thing in the way!
0:28But stop and think about what's really happening in that moment.
0:31You walked into a cave.
0:33Zubat lives in that cave.
0:36It is not chasing you.
0:38It is not invading anything.
0:40It is in its own home, in the dark, where it has always been, and you are the one who walked in.
0:43From Zubat's side, it didn't interrupt your journey.
0:45You interrupted its entire life.
0:47And for that, it became the most groaned-at creature in the whole world.
0:50It never did anything wrong.
0:52It was just there.
0:54It was just itself, in the place it belonged, and somehow that was enough to make everyone sigh the second it showed up.
0:57Some of you know exactly what that feels like.
0:59You've been the Zubat.
1:02The one whose name made people sigh a little.
1:04The interruption nobody asked for.
1:06The one who walked into a room and felt the air change, not because you did anything, but because you were just there, just existing, and somehow that was the problem.
1:09You learned what it feels like to be treated as the thing in the way when you were only ever trying to live in your own life.
1:11But here's what nobody notices about Zubat.
1:13Down in that dark cave, when it gets cold, the Zubat gather together and press close to keep each other warm.
1:16The thing the whole world groans at is, at home, gentle, and surrounded, and loved by its own.
1:18It never needed everyone to want it.
1:21It just needed its colony in the dark.
1:23You were NEVER the pest!
1:25You were just somebody else's Zubat, and you hadn't found your cave yet.
