Mr. Mime.

0:00There is no Pokémon on the planet that people have stronger opinions about than Mr.

0:03Mime.

0:06You either think it is a walking nightmare that should never have been allowed to exist, or you think it is a misunderstood Gen 1 icon.

0:09Nobody is neutral on Mr.

0:12Mime.

0:16So let's finally settle this.

0:19First, the case that it is cursed.

0:22It is a four foot tall humanoid clown.

0:25It has a person's body, a permanent thousand yard stare, and two enormous flat hands, and it has been quietly unsettling children since 1996.

0:28It is a mime, which is already the most feared profession on Earth, except this one can walk into your house.

0:31And in the Detective Pikachu movie, they interrogated it like a criminal in a police room, and every single person watching agreed that felt completely correct.

0:34Nightmare fuel, case closed - right?!

0:37Now the case that it is an icon.

0:40Mr.

0:43Mime is one of the original 151.

0:47It has been here since day one, before almost every Pokémon you love existed.

0:50And its power is genuinely one of the coolest in the entire franchise.

0:53It does not pretend to build walls.

0:56It builds real ones out of thin air, just by miming them, and those walls get solid enough to block a bomb blast.

0:59It can seal you inside a box you cannot even see coming.

1:02And if you interrupt it while it is performing, it turns around and slaps you with those giant hands.

1:05That is not a clown!

1:08That's literally a psychic wall wizard with a temper and thirty years of seniority.

1:11So which is it?!

1:14The most cursed design ever put in the game, or a Gen 1 original the haters were simply never ready for.

1:18There is no in between here.

1:21Pick your side in the comments, and then tag the person whose opinion on this is wrong.

1:24And the correct answer is ICON.

1:27Prove otherwise.
