Yamper.

0:00So what if I told you there's a Pokémon that can only feel like it's worth something when it's moving, and the second it stops, it has nothing left?

0:04This is Yamper, a tiny corgi with a heart-shaped mark and sparks trailing behind it everywhere it goes.

0:07Here's what makes Yamper interesting, according to the Pokédex.

0:11It has an organ in its body that generates electricity, but only when it runs.

0:14Sounds pretty cool, right?

0:18But, the Pokédex says Yamper can't hold onto the electricity it makes, so it's always running around, chasing, moving, because the moment it stops, all of it is gone.

0:22It cannot store any of it.

0:25Not a single spark.

0:29Think about that.

0:32Everything it produces, all that energy, all that spark, and it never gets to keep any of it for itself.

0:36It only exists while it's in motion.

0:40So it never stops.

0:43It can't afford to.

0:47And Yamper is loved for exactly this.

0:50It's one of the most popular herding dogs in its whole region.

0:54People adore it because it's useful.

0:58It chases, it helps, it works, and it gets a reward for the catch.

1:01Its whole worth is wrapped up in what it does for everyone else.

1:05But nobody ever taught Yamper how to be still.

1:08Nobody ever told it that it was allowed to just lie down and be a dog.

1:12Because a Yamper that stops running is a Yamper with nothing left to give, and somewhere along the way, it started to believe that meant a Yamper with no worth at all.

1:16The chasing was never the problem.

1:19It's that it never learned it was enough even when it wasn't producing anything for anyone.

1:23Have you ever felt like you only matter when you're moving, achieving, being useful, and the second you stop, there's nothing left inside for yourself?
