Reuniclus.

0:00What if I told you this smiling blob of jelly is secretly one of the smartest designs Game Freak ever made.

0:03Because its whole evolution line is telling a story, and most people have never noticed it.

0:06This is Reuniclus.

0:08And to get why it's genius, you have to start at the beginning of its line.

0:11It starts as Solosis.

0:14And Solosis is literally designed as a single cell.

0:17One tiny little life form floating in its own protective goo.

0:20Simple, whole, and completely alone in there.

0:23Then it evolves into Duosion, and this is where it gets good.

0:25Duosion is a cell caught halfway through dividing.

0:28And because it's stuck mid-split, it has two brains.

0:31Two separate minds inside one little body.

0:34And here's the wild part from the Pokédex: those two brains don't always agree.

0:37Sometimes they want different things, and Duosion just does something random because its own head is arguing with itself.

0:39Its psychic power only hits full strength in the moments when both brains finally think the same thought.

0:42And then it becomes Reuniclus.

0:45The completed creature.

0:48Arms, a smile, full control, one mind.

0:51And look at the name.

0:53Reuniclus.

0:56Reunion.

0:59The two halves that spent a whole stage fighting each other finally came back together as one.

1:02So the design is literally the story of growing up.

1:05You start out small and simple.

1:08Then you hit that middle stretch where you're basically two people arguing inside one body, wanting different things at the same time, barely able to function some days.

1:10And then, eventually, the arguing stops.

1:13The pieces agree.

1:16You come out the other side as somebody whole.

1:19So be honest with the comments, because everybody's in one of the three.

1:22Are you a Solosis, still figuring it out on your own?

1:24A Duosion, with two brains fighting over what you want?

1:27Or a Reuniclus, finally on the same page with yourself?
