Rayquaza.
Soars endlessly through the ozone layer, descending only when the balance of nature is threatened. Ancient legends tell of its power to calm clashes between land and sea.

0:00What if I told you that in the Pokémon world, something has been circling above every city, every route, and every kid starting their journey, for hundreds of millions of years.
0:03And almost nobody down there knows it exists.
0:06This is Rayquaza.
0:08It doesn't live in a cave, or a lake, or some ruin behind a legendary door.
0:11It has lived in the ozone layer, higher than the weather, higher than anything with wings, since before recorded history, and it almost never comes down.
0:14And here's the thing about what it does up there.
0:17Space is always throwing rocks at this planet.
0:20Meteoroids fall toward the world every single day, and Rayquaza eats them.
0:23That's its food, the debris of space, caught before it ever touches the ground.
0:25Twice, the world found out it was there.
0:28When Kyogre and Groudon, the god of the sea and the god of the land, went to war and started breaking the planet between them, nothing alive could stop it.
0:31Then the sky opened, and Rayquaza came down, and the two gods looked up at it, and they simply stopped.
0:34It didn't have to defeat anybody.
0:37Its presence ended the war.
0:39And then it turned around and went back up into the silence.
0:42The 2nd time is the one that gets people.
0:45A meteor was coming, big enough to end everything.
0:48And when the meteor finally came, so did Rayquaza.
0:51It rose to meet it, and all those eons of eating the sky had built something enormous inside it, so in that moment it became more than it had ever been, Mega Rayquaza, and it turned that meteor into dust and starlight.
0:53And then it left again.
0:56That's the part of this story worth carrying around.
0:59It never stays for the celebration.
1:02It keeps watch over a world that doesn't even know it's being watched.
1:05Some people in your life work exactly that shift.
1:08The nurse on the overnight floor.
1:10The security guard nobody greets.
1:13The parent who got home after you were already asleep and left before you woke up.
1:16People who protect a world that sleeps through everything they do, and never hear a thank you, because nobody ever finds out what almost went wrong.
1:19So tonight the watchers get their moment.
1:22Share in the comments about the person in YOUR life who keeps watch while everybody else sleeps.
1:24Name them, say what shift they worked, and let them be seen for once.
1:27The dragon would approve.
Sweeper kit. 95 Speed paired with 150 Attack.
Rayquaza's base stat total is 680. The shape of a stat spread tells you everything about a Pokémon's role. Tanks lean defense, sweepers lean speed and attack.
