Drampa.
It has a compassionate personality, but if it is angered, it completely destroys its surroundings with its intense breath.

0:00What if I told you everybody knows what Drampa does to bullies.
0:03And almost nobody knows the part of its story that actually hurts.
0:06This is Drampa, the grandpa dragon.
0:09And yes, this is the one with the famous entry, the one that handles bullies the old-fashioned way.
0:12That story's been told.
0:15Today is about everything around it, because the rest of this creature's life is one of the saddest, sweetest things in the whole Pokédex.
0:17Start with something strange.
0:20Drampa has no baby form, and it doesn't evolve from anything.
0:23Every other line in these games gets to be young somewhere.
0:26Drampa just arrives old, like really, really, REALLY old!
0:29In every game it's ever appeared in, it has existed for exactly one purpose, being somebody's grandparent.
0:32Even its typing says it.
0:35It's Normal and Dragon at the same time, completely ordinary and absolutely legendary at once, and anyone who ever had a great grandparent knows that's not a contradiction.
0:38That's just what they are.
0:41Now here's its actual life.
0:44Drampa makes its home on mountains almost two miles above the towns, up where the air is thin and barely anything else can survive.
0:46And every so often, it makes the entire trip down, the whole two miles, for one reason.
0:49To play with the kids.
0:52It lets them climb on, wears that permanent gentle smile all day, and when the day is over, it turns around and climbs all the way back up.
0:55By itself.
0:58And the part the Pokédex never has to spell out is the part you already know.
1:01Those kids grow up.
1:04They stop coming out to meet it.
1:07And Drampa keeps making the trip down anyway, for whoever's next, for as long as it's able.
1:10Some of you had a grandparent who made that exact trip.
1:13The long drive, the early flight, the same greeting at the door every single time, and then the goodbye, and the ride home alone.
1:15And if you were lucky, you got old enough to finally understand what those visits cost, and you'd give a lot for one more.
1:18So two things.
1:21In the comments, share the thing your grandma or grandpa did every single visit, the ritual, the greeting, the candy that appeared out of nowhere, because those little things are the whole story.
1:24And if your Drampa is still making the trip down the mountain, put the phone down after this video and call them.
1:27The mountain gets steeper every year.
Sp. Attack 135, Speed 36. Pick your poison.
Drampa's base stat total is 485. The shape of a stat spread tells you everything about a Pokémon's role. Tanks lean defense, sweepers lean speed and attack.
