0:09And sure, you know Cubone, the skull, the sad one, that's about where most people's knowledge ends.

0:12But the actual Pokédex entries go so much deeper than that, and I need to warn you...

0:18That skull has never come off.

0:24Its real face has been hidden since 1996, and the games flat out tell you nobody has ever seen it.

0:36On the night of a full moon, Cubone looks up, and somewhere in that pale circle it sees something that looks like her face.

0:39And it cries.

0:42Those dark stains all over the skull?

0:45They're from its tears.

0:48Years of them, soaked into the one thing it has left of her.

0:51And when it cries inside there, the sound bounces around the skull and comes out changed, soft and low, almost like a song.

0:54So other Pokémon out in the dark hear a pretty little melody.

0:57What's actually happening is a little kid, crying into its mother.

1:00So honestly, maybe there was never a mystery here at all.

1:03It just isn't done saying goodbye.

1:06And that's the fight the fandom has been having for thirty years.

1:09Half of them are begging for the reveal, there are theories all over the internet about what's really under there.

1:12And the other half says never, let the little guy keep one thing for itself.
