Shuckle.
Stores berries inside its shell, where they slowly ferment into rich juice. Its remarkably sturdy shell protects it while it waits patiently among the rocks.

0:00What if I told you the games once handed you somebody's best friend for safekeeping, and then watched what you did with him?
0:03There was a hidden test running the whole time, and some of you failed it without ever knowing you were taking it.
0:06This is about a Shuckle named Shuckie.
0:09If you played Pokémon Gold, Silver, or the remakes, he might have been yours for a while.
0:12In Cianwood City, way out across the water, there's a man named Kirk, and when you meet him, he's just been robbed.
0:15A thief took one of his Pokémon and the thief was your own rival.
0:17So this man has lost half of what he loves, he's scared, and he looks at you, a kid he's known for thirty seconds, and does the most desperate thing a trainer can do.
0:20He hands you his other Pokémon, his beloved Shuckle.
0:23It has a nickname, Shuckie!
0:26Which tells you everything about how loved this little guy was.
0:29And he asks you to keep him safe.
0:32Most players took Shuckie, dropped him in a box, and forgot the man existed.
0:35But the game didn't forget.
0:38Go back to Kirk later, and he asks for his friend back.
0:41And right there, silently, the game runs a check almost nobody knew about.
0:44It looks at how much Shuckie has come to love you.
0:46If you actually raised him, fed him, battled beside him, if that little Shuckle's heart moved over to you, Kirk sees it in the way Shuckie stands.
0:49And he lets him go.
0:52He gives up his own Pokémon, to a stranger, because his friend is happier now.
0:55If you never bonded, he takes Shuckie home, and he should.
0:58And then there's the third option.
1:01You can just say no and keep him.
1:04Kirk calls you exactly what you are, a thief, the second person to rob him.
1:07And the game lets you do it.
1:10No punishment, no consequence, nothing.
1:13The game NEVER punished you.
1:15It just let you find out what kind of trainer you were.
1:18So the comments are a confessional today.
1:21Returned him, earned him, or stole him, which one were you?
1:24Be honest, this is a safe space with roughly forty thousand witnesses.
1:27And if you never found Kirk at all, say that too, because this man's whole story sat one house off the main road, and most of the world walked past it.
Tank build. Bulk averages 160, offense tops out at 10.
Shuckle's base stat total is 505. The shape of a stat spread tells you everything about a Pokémon's role. Tanks lean defense, sweepers lean speed and attack.
