Solosis.

0:00What if I told you the games once made a Pokémon out of the first version of you.

0:03Not you as a kid.

0:05Earlier than that.

0:08And once you see it, this little green blob stops being a blob.

0:11This is Solosis, and its whole design is one idea, done all the way.

0:13It's a cell.

0:16One single living cell, blown up to the size of a grapefruit and given a face.

0:19The round shape in the middle is the nucleus.

0:21The green around it is the cytoplasm.

0:24Even the little yellow curl on top is a real part of a real cell.

0:26Its name is solo plus mitosis, the word for how one cell becomes two.

0:29The designers took the smallest amount of life that exists and asked a strange, sweet question.

0:32What if that was already somebody?

0:34And here's why it lands harder than it should.

0:37You were this, not something like this...

0:40Literally, THIS.

0:42Every person watching this video started out as exactly one cell.

0:45Just a tiny living thing, no name yet, with everything you'd ever be folded up inside it, already on its way.

0:48The games didn't invent that part.

0:50They just drew a smile on it and let it float around Unova.

0:53And Solosis is fine, by the way.

0:56It floats around, it's got real psychic power, and it seems perfectly happy.

0:58It's a whole creature already, at one cell.

1:01It has never hurried once in its life, and it's doing fine.

1:04Somebody watching this feels behind, on money or on love or just on the person they figured they'd be by now.

1:06But you've been becoming something since you were one cell, and you've never once stopped.

1:09That's not a pep talk.

1:11That's your actual biography.

1:14So finish this sentence in the comments, one word is enough.

1:17I'm still becoming.

1:19Whatever's true for you.

1:22A nurse, a better dad, sober, myself.

1:25Somebody scrolling tonight needs to watch a stranger say it first.

1:27And if you know a person who feels behind, this little cell is a pretty gentle way to tell them they're not.
