Muk.
Thickly covered with a filthy, vile sludge. It is so toxic, even its footprints contain poison.

0:00What if I told you there's a Pokémon that kills everything it touches, can't go anywhere without leaving poison behind, and is slowly going extinct while the world celebrates?
0:03This is Muk the Sludge Pokémon.
0:07And it might just be the loneliest creature Game Freak has ever designed!
0:10The Pokédex says a toxic fluid seeps from Muk's body constantly that instantly kills plants and trees on contact.
0:13Not over time, but INSTANTLY...
0:17Even just from being in close proximity to a Muk apparently causes living things to wilt and die.
0:20Muk cannot even TOUCH anything without possibly destroying anything living thats around it.
0:23Which means that Muk can't ever get close to anything or anyone without risking hurting it from its poison.
0:27Now brace yourself, because it somehow gets even worse.
0:30The Pokédex says the effects of Muk's presence can leave the landscape barren for three years.
0:33THREE YEARS!
0:37That's like the normal length of time between new mainline Pokémon games.
0:40And even after Muk is gone, the ground remembers.
0:43Nothing grows where it walked.
0:47Its footprints contain poison.
0:50Every step it takes leaves damage behind.
0:53It can't move through the world without marking it.
0:57So what happened to Muk?
1:00The Pokédex says "after recent environmental improvements, this Pokémon is now hardly seen at all.
1:03People speculate it may go extinct.
1:07Their food sources have decreased, and their numbers have declined sharply." Humans in the Pokémon world have cleaned up the pollution that Muk was born from.
1:10And instead of finding a place for Muk, they just let it disappear.
1:13Some entries mention "extermination efforts." A Pokémon that was born toxic, that can't help what it does to the things around it.
1:17That was created by human pollution in the first place.
1:20And now that we've cleaned up our mess, we can't be bothered and are seemingly just letting it die out.
1:23Honestly?
1:27That's messed up but unfortunately, pretty on-brand for the human race if you think about it..
HP 105, Speed 50. Pick your poison.
Muk's base stat total is 500. The shape of a stat spread tells you everything about a Pokémon's role. Tanks lean defense, sweepers lean speed and attack.
