Espeon.

0:00What if I told you there's a Pokemon that didn't have any special abilities until the moment it realized you might get hurt?

0:04And then it developed the power to see the future just so it could stop that from happening?

0:08This is Espeon, the Sun Pokémon.

0:11And the Pokédex says something about it that changes everything.

0:15"It is said that this Pokémon developed its precognitive powers to protect its trainer from harm." Espeon wasn't born with psychic abilities...

0:19It DEVELOPED them.

0:23The power to see the future, to sense an opponent's next move, to predict danger before it arrives...

0:26none of that existed until Espeon decided it couldn't stand the thought of you getting hurt.

0:30Its fur is even so sensitive that it can feel minute shifts in the air.

0:34Which allows Espeon to read the changes in air currents to know what's coming.

0:38And not too differently from Spider-Man's "Spidey Senses" - the tip of Espeon's tail quivers when it senses a threat approaching.

0:41And here's something even more fascinating!

0:45That gem on Espeon's forehead darkens when Espeon's power is exhausted.

0:49It will literally drain itself completely for you and use every last bit of energy it has...

0:53JUST to make sure you're okay!

0:56Espeon is extremely loyal, but, only to a trainer it considers WORTHY.

1:00The ones it decides deserve its protection, the ones who EARNED it!

1:04Some Pokémon are born with their abilities.

1:08Espeon created its own.

1:11And unlike most other Pokémon, it wasn't to become powerful or to win battles..

1:15But because loving you meant it had to find a way to see the danger coming before it reached you.

1:19Its powers exist because you do.

1:23Have you ever developed a skill you never thought you'd need, just to protect someone you love like Espeon?

1:26Let's discuss in the comments!
