0:05somebody in the very first Pokémon games made a wish, and over a decade later, it floated in.
0:09This is Munna.
0:14But this story starts way before Munna existed, on Route Ten, back in Pokémon Red and Blue.
0:19There's a trainer up there by the mountain, worn out from a long hike.
0:24After you beat her, she complains that the Pokémon around there are all so chunky.
0:28Then she says there should be a pink one with a floral pattern.
0:33But back then if you played the games, you know that NOTHING like that existed.
0:38So she just stood on that route, saying it to EVERY kid who walked by.
0:43Years later, when the games got remade into Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen.
0:47She said it again, BUT this time she started with "I wish." Then Pokémon Black and White came out, and this little thing came floating in.
0:52It's pink and covered in flower patterns, and out of everything it could have done, it eats dreams.
0:57When the dream it's eating is a happy one, it puffs out a little cloud of pink mist.
1:02Nobody's ever confirmed the games did that on purpose, so it might be a coincidence.
1:06Fans connected the dots anyway.
1:11Maybe you made a wish like that as a kid and forgot all about it.
1:16Maybe it's still floating around out there, taking its time.
1:21She asked for something pink with flowers on it, and years later, it showed up eating dreams.
