Spends most of its time sleeping, waking only to eat enormous amounts of food. Its powerful stomach can digest nearly anything, allowing it to consume even spoiled or poisonous food without getting sick.

0:00What if I told you there's a town in Pokémon that throws a party every year for the guest who eats everything.
0:05This is Snorlax, and most places don't exactly roll out the welcome mat for it.
0:10In Pokémon Legends Arceus, its Pokédex says a Snorlax eating a village's whole rice supply counts as one of the worst disasters there is.
0:15But in the anime, there's a little farm town where every year, right after the harvest, a Snorlax comes down from the mountains.
0:20It walks out into the fields and starts digging up and eating every root the farmers left behind.
0:25And the farmers love it.
0:30All that digging turns the soil over, so next year's crops grow better.
0:35Snorlax gets the biggest meal of its year, and the town gets its fields worked for free.
0:40So once it's done, the whole town throws it a festival to say thank you.
0:45There's food, there are fireworks, and at the end, somebody plays a flute that sends it happily back up the mountain for another year.
0:50The year Ash shows up, the flute goes MISSING.
0:55So Snorlax just lies down in the middle of town and snores, which is a very relatable way to wait for dessert.
1:00Once the flute's back, it eats every offering at the festival and heads home happy.
