0:00Palkia got chained up and forced to break the world, and the only one it trusted to stop it was a kid.
0:03This is Palkia.
0:07Its Pokédex says the world used to have walls, and the day Palkia was born, they disappeared.
0:10That's why the sky goes on forever.
0:13It's the reason any of us have room to breathe.
0:17So of course somebody wanted to own that.
0:20Pearl kids, you know exactly where this is going.
0:23In Pokémon Pearl, a man named Cyrus climbs to the ruins at the top of the biggest mountain in Sinnoh.
0:27He's carrying a red chain made to control a god.
0:30He wants to erase this world and build a brand new one, his way.
0:33And it works.
0:37Palkia gets dragged out of its own world, chained, and forced to use its power for somebody else's plan.
0:40It starts losing control.
0:43Everybody on that mountain is terrified of it.
0:47And then the professor says the one thing nobody else does.
0:50He says it's impossible to tell if it's angry or sad.
0:53He tells you to listen to its heart.
0:57Then he says it seems to be trusting you to stop it.
1:00The one that gave the whole world room had no room left to say no.
1:03And out of everyone on that mountain, it put its trust in a kid with a backpack.
1:07So you step up and face the god of space until it finally goes still.
1:10Maybe you've been the one who makes room for everybody, and the only time anyone notices is when you finally break.
1:13Maybe all you needed was one person who looked closer instead of backing away.
1:17It gave the whole world room to breathe, and when it was the one in chains, all it needed was somebody who'd listen.
1:20So be honest.
1:23Diamond or Pearl, which god did you pick as a kid?
1:27Drop your pick in the comments.
