Redeeming TCG Live booster codes.

Step-by-step guide to redeeming Pokémon TCG Live booster pack codes. The 14-character code prints on a separate slip inside every booster pack. Enter at the redemption screen in TCG Live; receive a digital pack of the matching set.

Six-step walkthrough.

  1. Find the code slip. Open the physical booster pack. Among the cards is a small white slip about half the height of a card, with a 14-character code in the format ABCD-1234-EFGH-J. Set this aside before shuffling the cards into your binder; the slip can slide under things.
  2. Open TCG Live; or the web portal. Two paths: (A) launch the app on PC / iOS / Android. (B) Open the web redemption portal at redeem.tcg.pokemon.com/en-us/ in any browser. Sign in to your Pokémon Trainer Club account either way.
  3. Open the shop. Tap the shop icon (cart icon, top-right of the home screen).
  4. Tap "Redeem Code". In the shop's sidebar, the Redeem Code option opens a text entry field.
  5. Enter the code carefully. Type the 14 characters with hyphens. Watch for the common substitutions: 0 vs O, 1 vs I, B vs 8, 5 vs S. Re-typing beats relying on photo OCR.
  6. Open the digital pack. On success, the booster for the matching set appears in your collection. Open it from the Packs tab. Cards added to your collection are usable in deck-building immediately and contribute toward Master Set completion progress for that set.

Things that go wrong.

"Code already redeemed"

The code is one-use; someone has already entered it. Most common with secondhand / loose packs from eBay or estate sales where the previous owner used the code first. There is no recovery; contact Pokémon Player Support only if you have evidence of fraud (a sealed package that was tampered with).

"Invalid code"

Re-check character-by-character. The single most common cause is mis-reading 0 as O or vice versa. If you still get "invalid" after careful re-entry, photograph the code slip and contact Pokémon Player Support with the photo plus your purchase receipt.

Code from old TCG Online?

All TCG Online codes were migrated to TCG Live in 2023. If you have old PTCGO codes that were never redeemed, they still work in TCG Live (the same 14-character format). Codes that were already redeemed in TCG Online do not double-credit in TCG Live.

Build & Battle / Prerelease code

These are single longer codes (typically 19 characters) that credit you the equivalent of 4 boosters plus the kit's promo card. Redeem at the same screen. TCG Live recognizes the format automatically.

FAQ.

Where is the code printed?

Inside every TCG booster pack; a small white slip with a 14-character alphanumeric code (e.g. "ABCD-1234-EFGH-J"). Look for it among the cards when you open a pack. The code is unique and one-time use.

How do I redeem the code?

Open Pokémon TCG Live → tap the shop icon → select "Redeem Code" → type or paste the 14 characters. The app immediately credits you a digital pack of the corresponding set, ready to open from your collection.

How many TCG Live codes can I redeem per day?

There is no daily cap. You can redeem as many unique codes as you have. Each code is one-use; you cannot share a code that has already been redeemed.

My code says "already redeemed". what now?

The code has already been used. This is most common when buying loose / opened physical packs from secondary markets where the previous owner already entered the code. There is no recovery for already-used codes; contact Pokémon Player Support if you believe the seller defrauded you.

My code says "invalid" but I just got it from a sealed pack; what now?

Double-check the characters: 0 vs O, 1 vs I, B vs 8 are the most-confused pairs. Re-type the code rather than relying on copy-paste from a photo OCR. If still invalid after careful re-entry, contact Pokémon Player Support with a photo of the code slip and your purchase receipt.

Can I redeem codes on the web instead of the app?

Yes; the official redemption portal is at redeem.tcg.pokemon.com/en-us/. Sign in with the same Pokémon Trainer Club account linked to TCG Live, paste the code, and the digital pack lands in your in-game Inbox on next login. This is the fastest path for bulk code entry.

Do codes expire?

No. Codes from any TCG Live-era pack (2023 onward) remain valid indefinitely. Codes printed for the older TCG Online client (pre-2023) were migrated automatically when the platform switched.

What about the Build & Battle / Prerelease promo codes?

Build & Battle Boxes include a single longer code that grants the equivalent of 4 boosters plus the promo card from the kit. Prerelease event participation codes (handed out at game stores) work the same way; redeem at the same screen.
